Welcome to the Infrastructure Management Lab!

We are a group of researchers based at UBC-Vancouver that employs quantitative methods to improve the economic and environmental performance of our infrastructure systems. Our ongoing research focuses include:

• Creating advanced computational algorithms to minimize the life-cycle cost and environmental impacts of our infrastructure. This work includes the launch of our new dashboard tool that integrates EXCEL with Python to evaluate alternative pavement design and maintenance strategies. Our tool will be available for download in December 2020 — be sure to check out our page soon, download it, and provide us with valuable feedback!
• Measuring and improving productivity growth in the highway construction sector. This focus includes our ongoing efforts aimed at improving the measurement of productivity data in highway construction and the collection of firm-level data to identify ways in which contractors and policy-makers can improve it.
